The Nagasaki Prefecture Specialty Products New Works Exhibition has been held in Nagasaki Prefecture since 1969.

The "NAGASAKI OMAGARIchans Sticky Notes" designed by Shinzi Katoh won the Excellence Award in the Crafts, Daily Necessities and Others category at the 2024 Nagasaki Prefecture Specialty Products New Works Exhibition.

The design depicts nine unique cats with curled tails called "OMAGARIchans" living in Nagasaki enjoying themselves freely at famous tourist spots such as Meganebashi Bridge and Chinatown.

With the four seasons in mind, "Flower Field" depicts the Glover House in spring, "Clinking Ice Cream" depicts the Meganebashi Bridge in summer, "Night Stroll" depicts the night view on a long autumn night, and "Yori Yori" depicts Chinatown during the Chinese New Year in winter.

The "OMAGARIchans" series is an original product created in collaboration with Ishimaru Bunkyodo, a long-established stationery store in Nagasaki.

The "OMAGARIchans" items were released at the "Stationery Festival Reward Festa" held in July 2024.

The event featured a talk show and autograph session, where the only place to hear the story behind the birth of "OMAGARIchans" was a huge success, with long lines forming for the autograph session.

In addition to sticky notes, the "OMAGARIchans" series items include letter sets and book memos.
